Zeon Group’s greenhouse gas reduction targets for 2030 approved by SBT initiative
Zeon Corporation (Zeon; head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tetsuya Toyoshima) and the Zeon Group subsidiaries*1 have set greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets to be met by 2030. These targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)*2, confirming that they align with scientific standards for limiting global warming to no more than 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

Scope 1 and 2: 42% reduction
Scope 3: 25% reduction (categories 1 and 3)
Zeon Corporation and the Zeon Group recognize climate change as a significant social issue and are committed to promoting a shift in monozukuri (manufacturing) to achieve carbon neutrality and realize a circular economy as part of their Group-wide Strategy under the STAGE 30 Medium-Term Management Plan for 2030. We will continue our efforts to reduce GHG emissions with the ultimate goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
